[00:28:43] <PetefromTn_> Woohoo....Finally got my new Heat and Air Conditioning system fully installed and working.
[00:29:31] <PetefromTn_> twas kind of a pain in the keister but it seems to be working perfectly
[00:29:52] <PetefromTn_> now if I can just figure out how this fancy programmable thermostat works ;)
[00:37:49] -!- rob_h has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds]
[00:42:17] -!- hellcorner has quit [Ping timeout: 250 seconds]
[00:55:54] -!- atom1 has quit [Quit: Leaving]
[01:07:08] -!- swingley has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[01:07:34] <SpeedEvil> :)
[01:09:17] -!- swingley has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
[01:09:29] <jdh> don't you have small children?
[01:09:40] <PetefromTn_> who me?
[01:10:15] -!- lyzidiamond has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[01:10:57] <jdh> yes, you.
[01:11:08] <PetefromTn_> yeah I do
[01:11:18] <jdh> get them to program it ofr you
[01:11:32] <PetefromTn_> they probably could do a better job of it heh
[01:11:32] <jdh> I know how you old guys don't do so well with technology.
[01:11:52] <PetefromTn_> honestly I have just not sat down and read thru the considerable manual
[01:12:09] <PetefromTn_> you would think for something as simple as a thermostat that would not be necessary
[01:12:14] <jdh> manuals are for the weak... and for poor UI designers
[01:12:41] <PetefromTn_> sure
[01:12:58] <PetefromTn_> I am just really glad the damn thing is working right
[01:13:25] <PetefromTn_> I also redid a lot of the duct work under the house fixed some leaks and insulation problems etc.
[01:13:37] <PetefromTn_> hopefully our power bills will be a bit less this winter now.
[01:13:39] <jdh> cool.
[01:14:26] <jdh> did you fix under-the-house duct leaks?
[01:14:26] -!- swingley has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds]
[01:14:26] <PetefromTn_> well the vast majority of those leaks were from the previous "PRO" who installed the last unit.
[01:14:31] <PetefromTn_> we removed all of what he did basically.
[01:14:34] <jdh> here, they do wonders for keeping mold out of the crawl space
[01:14:36] <jdh> (leaks)
[01:14:41] -!- karavanjo has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
[01:15:05] <PetefromTn_> now we have it all sealed up and insulated except for the new transitions sheetmetal I made
[01:15:22] <PetefromTn_> I am kinda tapped out right now and need to get some more cash to buy the blanketing for those bits.
[01:15:45] <PetefromTn_> other than that it is all brand new under there right up to the main distribution duct
[01:16:02] <PetefromTn_> it sure was nice to feel nice warm air coming from the ducts earlier.
[01:16:18] <PetefromTn_> we cranked it up to like 79 to make sure the unit functioned
[01:16:40] <PetefromTn_> now we got it set on like 73 and waiting for the temp to drop in the house so it comes on again.
[01:16:57] <jdh> 68f and sunny here today
[01:16:57] <PetefromTn_> the unit is SO quiet you can barely hear anything
[01:17:10] <PetefromTn_> it was probably close to that here today
[01:17:16] <jdh> my upstairs gets hot from sun even in the winter
[01:17:17] <PetefromTn_> it was quite nice outside working on it
[01:17:58] <PetefromTn_> I have to install an upstairs return duct to help suck the heat out of the upstairs tho
[01:18:20] <PetefromTn_> I already cut the hole and have the sheetmetal pieces made up for it.
[01:18:33] <PetefromTn_> just need to get it plumbed in
[01:18:34] <jdh> I think that would confuse my two units.
[01:18:42] -!- jerryitt has quit [Quit: Connection closed for inactivity]
[01:18:48] <jdh> but, would probably do wonders for keeping the downstairs warm in the winter

[20:37:43] <Tecan> Leeloo do you have 4 feet of snow outside too ?
[20:37:49] <unfy> i hate fish, and i have a disease that makes it impossible to open things. music cases, dvd cases, boxes from ebay ... let alone coconuts
[20:37:53] <LeelooMinai> I forgot vulcanos:)
[20:37:57] <jdh> we are teh northernmost place with coconuts
[20:38:00] <LeelooMinai> No, not much snow here

[20:39:01] <Tecan> for plasma ?
[20:39:18] <jdh> she has plenty. can just chip some off her igloo walls
[20:39:37] <LeelooMinai> Well, I ordered this surface plate for $45, but wait for them to tell me the shipping
[20:40:02] <LeelooMinai> In any case, current plan is to use some surface plate to make the table - that is as the bottom of the mold.

[20:41:52] <LeelooMinai> So, well, I may have to make the table from 3 segments or something
