[18:57:26] <zeeshan> connor it doesnt fit
[18:57:30] <jdh> mine only had two also, but that sucked
[18:57:34] <zeeshan> the whole ball screw is at an angle
[18:57:38] <zeeshan> thats the only reason it fits in that pic
[18:57:45] <zeeshan> i'd have to machine .25" from the bottom of the channel
[18:57:46] <zeeshan> to make it fit
[18:57:53] <jdh> start cutting
[18:57:54] <zeeshan> and if idid that, it would break into one of the v-ways
[18:58:07] <jdh> that's a 12x36
[18:58:11] <jdh> ?
[18:58:14] <zeeshan> yea
[18:58:19] <zeeshan> its easier just to make the screw longer
[18:58:20] <zeeshan> and make a bracket
[18:58:27] <Connor> okay, so, you need to grind the bottom of the nut ?
[18:58:27] <zeeshan> yea it increases the foot print , oh well :P
[18:58:35] <zeeshan> connor, its already grounded flat
[18:58:53] <zeeshan> http://i.imgur.com/mFYNyfT.jpg

[20:29:48] <deMimsy> I have deduced that this is because the subroutine uses the "return" function
[20:30:38] <cradek> um are you sure it's not because you have a comma in the file?
[20:30:48] <deMimsy> positive
[20:31:04] <deMimsy> removing the one return line allows the code to be loaded and executed

[20:33:29] <cradek> I bet you've got nonascii in your file, involving the byte 0x2C

[20:40:56] <deMimsy> thats the thing
[20:41:08] <deMimsy> it works in mdi
[20:41:22] <deMimsy> but if i load up the file for running in auto mode it yells at me
[20:43:07] <cradek> still wfm
[20:43:16] <cradek> what version are you running?
[20:44:17] <deMimsy> not sure if it is the best fix, but if you replace the return line with:
[20:44:26] <deMimsy> o<sub_name> endsub
[20:44:35] <deMimsy> it works
[20:44:58] <deMimsy> using version 2.5.3

[20:48:31] <cradek> hm, 2.5 won't run for me for some reason
[20:49:54] <cradek> oh there it goes
[20:50:33] <cradek> oh funky, I get it too
[20:50:42] <cradek> !!
[20:55:18] <deMimsy> huh, must be a version problem with interpreting the "return" command
[20:56:58] <cradek> I agree something is wrong, and I don't immediately see what
[20:57:10] <deMimsy> So, for those searching IRC - version: 2.5 // error: bad character used // possible solution: replace "return" with "endsub"
[20:57:27] <cradek> would you file a bug report with your test case please?
[20:57:43] <cradek> http://sourceforge.net/p/emc/bugs/
[20:58:16] <deMimsy> oh look at that, we have our own bug tracker
[20:58:48] <deMimsy> which version where you using that didnt have the problem?
[20:59:08] <cradek> 2.6 branch

[21:22:10] <jthornton> http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?LinuxCNC_Pure_Simulator
[21:22:47] <jthornton> you can run a simulated configuration in 10.04 and there is plenty of examples
