[00:04:56] <atex57> OK Back to it. When I do an install with the stock Pico System PWM files everything loads OK, the encoders show a change when I tweak each axis. If I make any changes to the INI file it throws up an error file with the problems. Where is a good place to post these so someone else can look at them?

[01:02:17] <pcw_home> if they basically work (check with watch) but are noisy you probably need to look at your wiring / grounding carefully or add hardware or software debounce
[01:06:43] <pcw_home> Note that your step drives (50V?) put 50V rectangular waves into the stepmotor with perhaps 20-50 ns rise times, This drives the winding --> frame capacitance of your stepmotors so you get basically unlimited magnitude current spikes from step motor frame ground back to the drive
[01:06:45] <pcw_home> this can easily generate couple volt spikes _everywhere_

When it solidifies it first shrinks, allowing easy removal from the chamber. When it cools it expands back to the exact size of the chamber. (both supported) ended up having to make some sims for my unit. the other issue was with the ballscrew mounting blocks. I needed shims between the bearings.

[22:48:01] <andypugh> So if you connect the X-steps to a rotary with the scale set to suit the radius, then it will happily engrave XY text on a cylinder.
