im off to bed, gn
so our spindle has like 16 gears. I think it would be cool to have emc2 automatically pick the gear that works for the s speed selected. Seems doable. The way it was programed before is you just gave it a s word according to which gear you wanted. Now that there is a vfd on the spindle - we should be able to pick spindle speed by rpm.
03jepler 07HEAD * 10emc2/docs/man/man3/rtapi_module_param.3rtapi: there is no 'num' parameter to the non-array parameter macros
skunkworks: the mazak automatically switches gears depending on the programmed spindle rpm (s word)
hm, I'll be altering my displacement later according to speed and VFD..
should be doable :9
I'll be altering my displacement with breakfast :)
I just altered my displacement.
skunkworks: it even has hysteresis because the two gear ranges overlap
bbiab - the wife just called me up for food :)
SWPadnos: sounds great ... unless ... you happen to be a praying mantis
