Yeeha... Nearly ready to try compiling EMC on a 2.6 kernel !
why would be the appropriate question!
'cos I can.
There are things I want to do with the code... And one of the side effects allows for it to be compiled on a 2.6 kernel.
Who the HELL is "Nancy Weber-Zehren" ?
tbl0ish is now known as tbl
Something I said ?
Good evening picnet
have you seen qemu's ability to boot and compile and then run that compiled kernel?
handy for testing no doubt...
tccboot was on slashdot today.

* paul_c has been using qemu
ive been playing with it the last couple of days, mainly to boot damnsmall linux from a usbstick from windows (dont ask laptop i have has all boot options locked...)
tccboot requires kernel patching I see...
im fiddling trying to get the usbdrive to boot natively into dsl or from qemu under winblows, eitherway i'll have an os+data in my pocket - handy that.
The Live CDs are handy for that.
if the laptop has no cdrom, or cannot start from a boot device other than its hdd, usb is a vaiable but slow alternative.
gknoppix wont boot on qemu, at least i tried that.
The last Morphix CD I tried booted OK
dsl does, i'll try it again, screen in corrupt so maybe it needs a hint..
back after a reboot (may be..)
