[13:43:24] <seb_kuzminsky> cradek: no, it's not a fix
[13:43:46] <seb_kuzminsky> it just un-does a code reorg that i did when i thought i was going to fix a bunch of stuff in task

[14:36:19] <jepler> I intend to upgrade the forum's underlying linux distribution sometime soon (14.04LTS -> 16.04LTS). I did it on a scratch copy so I know it (looks like it)'ll work without much trouble
[14:36:41] <jepler> there's some trouble because of the upgrade from php5 to php7.0, but it's a matter of twiddling the right things and I have a record of what that is now
[14:50:45] -!- skunkworks_ has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds]

[17:07:32] <skunkworks> rob emailed me that he might have abc blending ready to test at the end of this weekend...
[17:08:47] <archivist> you need a 6 axis to test with :)
[17:09:01] <skunkworks> oh - it would be all virtual testing...
[17:09:15] <skunkworks> I don't have the puma running...
[17:11:01] <archivist> dare we mention css on rotaries to him...../me ducks
[17:14:07] -!- md-2 has quit [Quit: Leaving...]
[17:17:12] <skunkworks> How would you do that? or - how do other controls do that?
[17:19:54] <archivist> I dont think it is simple at all
[18:09:09] <cradek> I don't think it's a thing controls do
[18:47:35] -!- skunkworks_ has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[19:01:04] -!- skunkworks_ [skunkworks_!~skunkwork@68-115-41-210.static.eucl.wi.charter.com] has joined #linuxcnc-devel
[19:02:41] <skunkworks_> you guys have used kvm - why am I getting this error? Google is failing me.
[19:02:44] <skunkworks_> http://pastebin.ca/3735914
[19:04:11] <jepler> the error doesn't ring a bell for me
[19:05:50] <jepler> >>> root@:~# modinfo iptable_nat
[19:05:51] <jepler> >>> ERROR: modinfo: could not find module iptable_nat
[19:05:57] <jepler> do you have an iptable_nat kernel module available?
[19:06:09] <skunkworks> some searching is bringing back that I need nat enabled in the kernel
[19:06:20] <jepler> yeah that is the same thing I am finding
[19:06:34] <jepler> looks like it's typically enabled in debian kernels though
[19:06:35] <skunkworks> hmm - this is the rt kernel
[19:07:00] <skunkworks> maybe it needs to be configured in the kernel config
[19:07:11] <jepler> from debian jessie-backports, or self-built?
[19:07:17] <skunkworks> self built
[19:07:23] <jepler> yeah it is most likely that
[19:07:34] <jepler> try with a vanilla kernel if that's convenient, it'll confirm the problem without waiting for kernel builds
[19:08:07] <skunkworks> ah - good point - I have 3. somnething on here
[19:09:02] <cradek> I miss the hpux feature of getting the kernel config file from the running kernel
[19:09:44] <cradek> I guess debian packages put it in a standard place...
[19:11:33] <jepler> config IKCONFIG_PROC
[19:11:33] <jepler> bool "Enable access to .config through /proc/config.gz"
[19:12:09] <cradek> sweet!
[19:14:14] <cradek> I guess that's not on by default in debian
[19:14:26] <jepler> guess not

[21:34:23] <jepler> pcw_home: did you mention something about inexpensive USB JTAG?
[21:39:42] <jepler> bus blaster ($35) sounds nice and relatively flexible. They put a CPLD on it just for flexible configuration of I/O to the real debug target.
[21:43:52] <pcw_mesa> I ordered a Chinese Xilinx USB cable clone but its not here yet
[21:44:27] <pcw_mesa> i think it was ~ $25.00

[22:09:57] -!- Daerist has quit [Quit: Leaving]
[22:24:04] <jepler> I have a feeling I may have used that a long time ago (I have a xilinx parallel cable around here somewhere, but running out of parallel ports to plug it into)
[22:28:16] <seb_kuzminsky> epp over ethernet! it's the hot new thing
[22:34:58] -!- kalxas has quit [Quit: Goodbye]
[22:36:40] <tinkerer> due to my raspi preferences I prefer epp over spi ... ;)
[22:37:56] <tinkerer> but it would be doable with a pluto board :D
[22:45:32] <tinkerer> jepler: is it ok for you when I post your board (https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/bZNakuZs) on the forum?
[23:11:18] -!- kingarmadillo has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds]

[23:49:32] <tinkerer> ok thanks
