[01:50:55] <skunkworks> plus there seems to be a funny interaction when you run 2 axis at once. they get noiser. I don't think they are missing steps - but buy does it sound crappy.
[01:52:35] <skunkworks> the original control must have done phase drive of some kind. I got a little hung up trying to get it to work as I forgot to set a switch to on which sets the driver in step/dir mode. I was flipping most of the data bits on the printer port and the steppers would clunk.
