[06:24:34] <seb_kuzminsky> running a2x with fop for the pdf backend (instead of dblatex) makes the docs build on precise
[06:24:39] <seb_kuzminsky> it's a bug in dblatex
[06:26:52] <seb_kuzminsky> ugh, the pdfs generated are quite different
[06:29:09] <seb_kuzminsky> the fop pdfs are missing a bunch of auto-generated stuff, like the index
[06:29:25] <seb_kuzminsky> tanstaafl
[06:29:27] <psha[work]> fop pdfs sucks :(
[06:29:46] <psha[work]> i've tried them by in my opinion they are very bad
[06:30:37] <seb_kuzminsky> in mine too, now ;-)
[06:30:50] <seb_kuzminsky> too bad dblatex is broken in 12.04
[06:31:43] <psha[work]> how?
[06:32:48] -!- ursa has quit []
[06:33:29] <seb_kuzminsky> it fails on section titles with characters with umlauts and accents and things
[06:33:36] <seb_kuzminsky> anything non-english, basically :-(
[06:34:04] <seb_kuzminsky> look at the bottom of this page: http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/buildbot-admin/builders/precise-amd64-sim/builds/2/steps/compile/logs/stdio
[06:37:43] <psha[work]> probably you need to install xetex
[06:38:07] <psha[work]> and add some options
[06:40:12] -!- mhaberler [mhaberler!~mhaberler@195.191.253.94] has joined #emc-devel
[06:41:30] -!- vladimirek [vladimirek!~vladimire@adsl-dyn215.78-98-0.t-com.sk] has joined #emc-devel
[06:41:38] <psha[work]> seb_kuzminsky: asks for password
[06:41:59] <psha[work]> may you pastebin it?
[06:46:29] <seb_kuzminsky> doh
[06:46:34] <seb_kuzminsky> remove the -admin part of the url
[06:47:00] <seb_kuzminsky> http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/buildbot/builders/precise-amd64-sim/builds/2/steps/compile/logs/stdio
[06:47:19] <psha[work]> loooooading
[06:48:38] <psha[work]> seb_kuzminsky: try adding '-b xetex' to --dblatex-opts
[06:51:45] <seb_kuzminsky> trying...
[06:54:57] <seb_kuzminsky> nope
[06:55:17] <seb_kuzminsky> oh wait, operator error
[06:55:24] -!- ve7it has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[06:56:54] <seb_kuzminsky> no, it doesnt run
[06:57:03] <seb_kuzminsky> but at least it's another error!
[06:57:57] <seb_kuzminsky> http://pastebin.com/DYHkc8u7
[07:00:06] <psha[work]> something is going bad
[07:00:14] <psha[work]> may you strip down error to small .txt file?
[07:01:48] <seb_kuzminsky> it's a known bug in dblatex
[07:01:50] <seb_kuzminsky> https://groups.google.com/group/asciidoc/browse_thread/thread/33e99b78e2472122#
[07:03:32] <seb_kuzminsky> trying the ascii-ids workaround
[07:04:29] <seb_kuzminsky> nope
[07:04:52] <seb_kuzminsky> i guess that's not in the released asciidoc 8.6.6
[07:05:00] <seb_kuzminsky> the real fix is to fix dblatex
[07:05:37] <seb_kuzminsky> it works in 0.2.12 (in lucid), but it's broken in 0.3.2 (in precise)
[07:05:46] <seb_kuzminsky> oh well, some other night
[07:05:48] <seb_kuzminsky> goodnight
[07:06:11] <psha[work]> goodnight
[07:06:16] <psha[work]> so you should bug ubuntu bts
[07:06:17] <psha[work]> first
[07:06:54] <seb_kuzminsky> i should make that minimal .txt input file first, then bug them
[07:07:01] <seb_kuzminsky> but i should sleep first, then make that .txt file
[07:07:03] <seb_kuzminsky> ;-)
[07:07:11] <seb_kuzminsky> unless you beat me to it ;-)

[12:40:28] <jthornton> does the new log in use any spammer guards?
[12:40:51] <alex_joni> not by itself, but we can install some captcha or such
[12:41:23] <jthornton> sorry not log in but registration
[12:41:30] <alex_joni> but in my experience some of the spammers these days aren't automated
[12:41:46] <jthornton> I've noticed a lot of new users are spammers
[12:42:11] <jthornton> yea, like elvis :)

[14:01:12] <mozmck> Could be a bit more work though if you frequently have a lot of new users.

[22:57:16] <skunkworks_> what are some idea's on thread order when using offset ie.. offset.0.update-feedback offset.0.update-output functions..
[23:02:07] <andypugh> I am not sure. I pondered it briefly while looking at the component a few days ago, and couldn't decide.

[23:10:08] theorb is now known as theorbtwo
[23:12:25] <skunkworks_> heh
[23:12:32] <skunkworks_> good - I don't feel so bad now.
[23:13:39] <jepler> I think: hardware.read; offset.update-feedback; motion; compute offset; offset.update-output; hardware.write
[23:14:18] <skunkworks_> I was playing in simulator and I can get an following ferror if I try to offset it more than the ferror setting. (just setp'ing the offset pin) I was wondering why and I think it is because of thread order.. (thought wise anyway)
[23:14:26] <skunkworks_> jepler: that makes sense
[23:16:43] <jepler> applying a big step to the offset input will probably always cause an ferror
[23:17:19] <jepler> because fb-out will have the whole offset applied right away
[23:18:23] <skunkworks_> I suppose... I plan on putting a limit3 in before it just in case something goes wonky. (it should never offset more than .005ish and at a sane rate of accelleration and velocity.
