[01:44:59] <KimK> Oops

[01:47:31] <KimK> What does this mean: "Anchors used in gcode.html but not defined in main.html:"
[01:47:46] <KimK> I thought gcode.html was regenerated every time?
[01:47:52] <jthornton> open up gcode.html
[01:47:56] <KimK> What's going on with that?
[01:47:59] <jthornton> it's hand written
[01:48:13] <jthornton> open with gedit
[01:48:26] <jthornton> the one in docs/html
[01:49:09] <KimK> OK, I'll look. Is any of this documented?
[01:49:25] <jthornton> I'm not sure
[01:49:43] <jthornton> but always build the docs and look for errors before commiting
[01:49:46] <KimK> I thought it was "change txt and pdf, html will change" Not so?
[01:49:57] <jthornton> ??
[01:50:03] <jthornton> no
[01:50:14] <jthornton> gcode.html is hand written
[01:50:18] <KimK> I always do, but since it named html, I thought it was a "goofy" error.
[01:50:33] <jthornton> also any links inside will be broken if you don't change both anchor and link
[01:50:46] <jthornton> nope, real error
[01:50:51] <KimK> Well, what is generating the docs html, then, that seems to change?
[01:51:25] <jthornton> they are generated but gcode.html is not
[01:52:06] <KimK> All of them are? Why is gcode.html an exception to the rule?
[01:52:29] <KimK> Was it a "forgot'?
[01:52:31] <jthornton> all anchors must match exactly, so you can't change a sub to a sec or change the spelling or spacing without changing it elsewhere too
[01:53:18] <KimK> Yes, yes, but why is gcode.html not generated like the other html files, whats' different or special about that one?
[01:53:34] <jthornton> dunno
[01:54:07] <KimK> Ah, then, as cradek says, "now we get to the real question", lol
[01:54:17] <jthornton> LOL
[01:54:51] <KimK> OK, thanks, I'll look into it/them. Anything beyond those 5 errors?
[01:55:35] <jthornton> I'm not sure, I just noticed an email on the developers list and built my docs
[01:55:47] <jthornton> are you using git gui?
[01:55:51] <KimK> I'm finishing up minor edits for the HAL manual now, I'll start on the integrator manual next. Have you looked at it yet?
[01:56:09] <jthornton> no, been real busy
[01:56:41] <jthornton> in git gui you can see the history of 2.5 and scan your commits to see what you changed very easy
[01:56:41] <KimK> Yes, git gui, almost always. Tried command line at first, liked git gui better.

[02:00:00] <KimK> What did you get done today?
[02:00:37] <jthornton> insulation in the attic and prepping the area for framing in for the AC unit for the garage
[02:01:07] <KimK> Nice, and you get some cool days till you get the A/C going.
[02:01:08] <jthornton> prepping = moving a bunch of stuff and taking down some racks and cleaning crap out
[02:01:46] <jthornton> shop is all ready under AC now but all my machines are in the garage so it got some kind of hot in there last week without any AC
[02:02:24] <jthornton> the old AC for the garage was in the common wall to the new shop so it had to be moved to another wall
[02:03:03] <jthornton> by tomorrow I'll have R43 in the ceiling
[02:03:26] <KimK> OK, that sounds really good. Well, go sit down and relax. I'll be here awhile if you think of anything else.

[23:42:50] <KimK> archivist: wrapped_rotary is a binary/bit/boolean parameter, only true/1/yes and false/0/no should be acceptable. True limits a rotary axis to 0-359.999.... False allows ..-more/-720/-360/0/+360/+720/+more...(allowing unlimited continuous rotation, but sometimes requiring "unwinding" of a rotary axis). Does that help? I'm working on docs now, if there's anything I can improve, this would be a good time.
