[14:05:07] <psha> i suppose that different dirs for translations are better then _lang suffixes
[14:05:32] <jepler> I don't know wkhat is considered best.

[14:09:04] <mhaberler> still need to fix up tooltable rewriting - I guess I have a ago modulo psha's approval ;-)
[14:10:15] <jepler> psha: before the final autoconversion we should probably merge v2.4_branch to master once more, so you get jt's latest doc changes..
[14:11:08] <psha> hm, conversion commits and manual fixing are living in separate commits so i suppose it won't be a trouble to convert them once mroe...
[14:11:24] <psha> but if diff is small maybe it's easier to manualy fix converted sources
[14:11:24] <jepler> I saw that, and hope so too
[14:12:14] <jepler> geez, this needs even more latex-related stuff than our lyx toolchain did?

[16:50:52] <psha> it's fixed in recent asciidoc
[16:50:54] <psha> FIXED: “UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can’t decode byte” error. This error is due to a limitation in the Python HTMLParser module, see:
http://bugs.python.org/issue3932
[16:52:22] <psha> i've just manualy fixed mine a2x before finding it
[16:56:18] <psha> if a2x is executed with python2.5 it's running ok
[16:58:01] <jepler> well we have to live with platform asciidoc and python versions
[16:58:51] <jepler> is the nbsp in there because of something in our files, or does asciidoc always produce nbsps there?
[16:59:37] <psha> it's not in our files
[17:00:05] <psha> it seem that nbsp is produced by docbook-xsl, not by asciidoc itself
[17:00:25] <psha> but i guess python2.5 is available?
[17:00:35] <psha> -A2X = a2x --xsltproc-opts "--stringparam toc.section.depth 3 \
[17:00:35] <psha> +A2X = python2.5 /usr/bin/a2x --xsltproc-opts "--stringparam toc.section.depth 3 \
[17:00:39] <psha> this fixes error
[17:00:48] <jepler> ugh, another problem with the Makefile -- after that doc failed to build, the next build thinks nothing is to be done
[17:01:09] <psha> html?
[17:01:17] <jepler> yes
[17:04:55] <jepler> what version of asciidoc or python fixes the bug?
[17:05:51] <psha> either python2.5 + asciidoc 8.5 (squeeze) or any python + asciidoc 8.6 (sid)
[17:06:42] <psha> hm, lucid has 2.6.5
[17:06:47] <psha> need to test there
[17:07:41] <psha> however python bug originates to 2008 so it's definitely there
[17:08:19] <jepler> bundle patched version of HTMLParser is easier than forcing installation of python2.5...
[17:09:09] <psha> placing fixed a2x is even more simple solution
[17:09:17] <psha> it's 700 sloc script
[17:09:22] <psha> without any serious dependency
[17:09:57] <psha> only fix needed is '.decode('utf-8')' after .read()

[17:36:40] <psha> failing with same error too
[17:37:18] <jepler> you mean it doesn't fix the problem for you
[17:37:19] <jepler> ?
[17:37:26] <psha> i think that placing fixed a2x file is better since HTMLParser.py will be used in any python version
[17:37:42] <psha> HTMLParser fixes problem
[17:37:54] <psha> i mean pristine lucid have same error as squeeze
[17:38:15] <jepler> oh

[17:40:23] <psha> also fixed a2x is following upstream and fixed HTMLParser - not

[22:15:03] <mhaberler> re toolchange in gcode subroutines: basically this works, I have a remaining issue with reading and rewriting the tool table in reaction to G10 L1 xxx
[22:15:04] <mhaberler> currently the table is handled by by iotask through EMC_TOOL_SET_OFFSET and EMC_TOOL_LOAD_TABLE messages
[22:15:06] <mhaberler> I imagine that in a gcode-sub toolchange scenario, iotask eventually might go away or just isnt loaded at all
[22:15:07] <mhaberler> so the options I have are: a) keep iotask around to manage the tool table and not much else b) "internalize" the tool table into the interpreter dependent on wether iotask is used or not, and adapt Interp:load_tool_table(), add Interp::save_tool_table()
[22:15:09] <mhaberler> I'm unsure which one's the better approach
