it looks like our route home on monday from champaign will go through galesburg. I'll wave towards Cardinal as we drive by.
too bad you don't have a trailer
see you :)

alex - you around?
that hal fails with "servo-thread not found"
then you need to load emc without the addf line
and do a halcmd show
to see what threads you have
it's probably spelled differently
can I email the hal file to you?
or look in the hal file for other addf's
you can pastebin it
[09:32:31] <alex_joni> http://pastebin.ca/
I can paste here if that's ok
I suspect it's a bit long
ok - will have a look at pastebin, hang on a mo
try pastebin, it's like a multiplayer clipboard :D
[09:35:14] <Pilotltd> http://pastebin.ca/1389541
look at line 22
other things get added to the "servo-thread"
your line #30 is wrong though
#28 is correct, #30 is wrong ;)
* alex_joni waits for Steve to spot it himself
hashing out 30 gets "abs.0.in was already linked" - tried calling it abs.1 and defining abs.1 but it didn't like that either?
hang on.. I'm reading the rest of the file
do you have another hal file maybe?
(custom.hal maybe ?)
yep - custom postgui has abs.0 in as well
what's it used for?
pyvcp spindle speed display
ah, then you need 2 abs'es
that means you need to enable loading of 2 abs components
line 11 (loadrt abs count=2)
then we need to "addf abs.1 servo-thread" too (maybe put that on line 30)
then change lines 32 & 33 to read abs.1.* instead of abs.0.*
just a min, I'll edit and retry it, I did that but missed the abs count = 2
That looks better, loads now, will have to take PC back out to shop, had to bring it in to load windows wireless application, so I could get a USB wirless stick to work <G>
well.. if you figure that out..
I don't see any issues in using emc2 for you :D
Done - it's working, had to connect to wired to download app
I'll let you know how it works, thanks again for your help, cu later
not sure I'll be much online later
easter & all
will do, get out and enjoy the sun
