EMC: 03bigjohnt 07TRUNK * 10emc2/docs/src/gcode/main.lyx: splain how g92 works with m2/30 and bootup
* BigJohnT waddles off to check the armadillo on the half shell on the grill
this is one place where an "offsets" screen like Greg showed us would be nice
if it allowed editing / resetting, so much the better :)
oh goodness, cradek changed m2's effect on g92 offsets?
yeah - it was stupid
(I'm glad I'm a man, and so is Lola)
I wondered if anyone would get the reference
I know what its from, but no idea what (if any) connection to the G92 change
you gotta have balls to change G92 for no reason
(except that it's sometimes confusing :) )
and Lola also has balls, so ...
it's funny because it can be read two ways: it [m2's effect on g92] was stupid, or it [making the change] was stupid
even when it's correct, it's often ambiguous
like in the song, I don't have to commit to either meaning
so, I guess, nobody got it :-)
looks that way
Sent on the Now Network? from my Sprint?? BlackBerry
sent on the what?? whose?? blackberry??
it's one of those things they say at team-building exercises, after the part called the "ice breaker". they say "now network!"
apparently JonE likes the change :)
uhh, now network??
ok, I can see it
like Emperor Stringettes
The Now String!
(as used in hospitals)
what I don't understand is why they call it an "ice breaker" but actually you end up putting grape jelly down your boxers
(step 3 said "now put the jelly on")
now I'm lost
that's OK, don't worry about it
in fact I regret even bringing it up
sounds like something from dilbert...
so one "WHAAAT??? Finally?" and one "oh goodness"
no "you fool!!" yet
I wonder if there are any specs that tell us if it's a "correct" "fix"
oh. lucky you
the fix is contrary to the ngc spec, of course
well see, there's a spec
that would tell us this is an incorrect "fix"
but then what?
I think this jar of Kimchi is getting hotter as I reach the bottom
good evening bradmc
EMC: 03cradek 07TRUNK * 10emc2/tcl/tkemc.tcl: I think this will work better now.

wake up :)
what are you doing up so early on a sunday?
I usually get up at 5 am
I should still be sleeping. ;) I just woke up awake.
probaly thinking about all the stuff I need to do.
I'm working on my gs2 example
automation direct vfd driver for the g2d line
works pretty slick
emc <=> modbus <=> gs2
SWPadnos: wrote most of the driver
take a look at this http://www.linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/hal_pyvcp_examples.html#r1_3
but it looks better now but cvs is broken
hmm lets see if this compiles
that is much better now :)
from 12 lines of code in hal to 2 lines to turn on the fwd/rev led's
BigJohnT: oh, that reminds me ..
your last commit on gcode.lyx
I'm not sure if the last paragraphs sound right..
+ If you don't intend them to be there for the next run of the same program
+ make sure you program a G92.1 or G92.2 before the end of your program.
+ If you don't want them in effect on bootup make sure you program a G92.1
+ before the end of your file.
what part sounds wierd? all of it
I understand what you mean, but I'm not sure someone else would
I know I'm abbynormal :)
* alex_joni thinks how to reword it
maybe something like this? http://pastebin.com/m14cb4bee
jepler: Good morning.
* BigJohnT hums the final jepordy tune while waiting for the link to load
sorry.. pastebin.ca doesn't open here
opened fine I just had to stop the other three pages from loading and kill the vid load :)
looks much better... dunno where my mind was :0
as soon as jepler wakes up and kicks cvs so it will wake up I'll change it :)
not sure if it's better, but I think it holds the same info - or hope it does ;)
it reads better than what I said
my network used to be so reliable, then I upgraded it
now it's nothing but pain and suffering
I hate when that happens
