[01:39:06] <jmkasunich> just noticed an application for "interpreter introspection"
[01:39:34] <jmkasunich> I'm writing a subroutine that uses G95 feed/rev - it would be nice if it could save and restore the previous feed mode (and feed value)

[17:51:25] <alex_joni> logger_dev: bookmark
[17:51:25] <alex_joni> Just this once .. here's the log:
http://www.linuxcnc.org/irc/irc.freenode.net:6667/emcdevel/2008-09-07.txt
[20:33:49] <alex_joni> BigJohnT: hi
[20:34:03] <BigJohnT> hi alex_joni
[20:34:13] <alex_joni> managed to edit some pages at linuxcnc.org ?
[20:34:43] <BigJohnT> yes, how does a pdf get loaded to the web page?
[20:35:07] <alex_joni> the pdf get uploaded by jepler's pc that builds them
[20:35:52] <BigJohnT> ok, I was trying to check the link on the getting started pdf using this as a guide
http://www.linuxcnc.org/docs/EMC2_User_Manual.pdf but was not sucessful
[20:36:19] <BigJohnT> I replaced User_Manual with Getting_Started but it was not a good link
[20:36:39] <alex_joni> he might need to update the upload script
[20:36:57] <BigJohnT> ok, that makes sense
[20:37:32] <BigJohnT> I linked the html but that was just a temp thing till I figured out where the pdf was...
[20:39:02] <BigJohnT> would you believe I'm still fighting with that wireless router :(
[20:39:56] <jepler> the url
http://www.linuxcnc.org/docs/EMC2_Getting_Started.pdf will now work
[20:40:14] <jepler> the 2.2 docs are in docs/2.2/... and I manually make symlinks to the pdf docs in the "one level up" directory
[20:40:32] <BigJohnT> thanks jepler
[20:40:34] <jepler> so I just now added a symlink for getting started
[20:40:55] <jepler> also for HAL_User_Manual_fr.pdf and EMC2_Integrator_Manual_fr.pdf
[20:41:56] <alex_joni> BigJohnT: I just skimmed over the getting started, looks good.. but I think it's lacking a picture of emc2 up and running
[20:42:16] <BigJohnT> the html or the pdf ?
[20:42:22] <alex_joni> the pdf
[20:43:44] <BigJohnT> Ray and I have been working on that and have it fixed AFAIK yesterday... I'm still loading it to see
[20:45:43] <BigJohnT> your not talking about the penguin then?
[20:46:35] <alex_joni> no.. a running emc2 (probably with AXIS)
[20:46:49] <BigJohnT> that one looks like the latest one
[20:46:49] <alex_joni> to see what they get after everything is running
[20:47:03] <BigJohnT> ok an AXIS screen shot :)
[20:47:55] <BigJohnT> in the Installing EMC section...
[20:48:44] <BigJohnT> jepler: do you have all the french manuals uploaded?
[20:49:56] <jepler> BigJohnT: should have
[20:50:21] <BigJohnT> ok, cool I'll add that to the web page
[20:50:21] <jepler> EMC2_Developer_Manual.pdf EMC2_Getting_Started.pdf EMC2_Integrator_Manual.pdf EMC2_Integrator_Manual_fr.pdf EMC2_Manual_Pages.pdf EMC2_User_Manual.pdf EMC2_User_Manual_fr.pdf HAL_User_Manual.pdf HAL_User_Manual_fr.pdf
[20:50:52] <BigJohnT> thanks
[21:17:37] <BigJohnT> alex_joni: you can put my real name in the Developer list on sourceforge if you want :)
[21:18:22] <BigJohnT> or is that automagicly done?
[21:18:48] <alex_joni> that's done automagically
[21:19:00] <alex_joni> it depends how you set your name in the SF account you have
[21:19:45] <BigJohnT> ok I'll change it LOL
[21:22:07] <BigJohnT> btw alex_joni the reisfleisch was real good
[21:22:41] <alex_joni> heh, ok then :D
[21:22:47] <alex_joni> I had some bbq ribs yesterday
[21:23:22] <alex_joni> probably the first one with "traditional US rib sauce"
[21:23:33] <BigJohnT> wet or dry ribs
[21:23:59] <alex_joni> wet
[21:24:10] <BigJohnT> around here if you need sauce on your ribs you need a new cook LOL
[21:24:30] <alex_joni> well.. we don't usually cook them like this
[21:24:56] <BigJohnT> I use a dry rub only on my ribs
[21:26:03] <BigJohnT> wrapped in tin foil and cooked for 2 hours over low indirect heat
[21:27:55] <BigJohnT> just depends on what part of the US your in if they prefer wet or dry ribs
[21:30:37] <alex_joni> <- over the pond
[21:31:39] <BigJohnT> how do you normally get ribs?
[21:32:07] <alex_joni> depends.. but usually they are smoked
[21:32:20] <alex_joni> and most of the time they don't end up on the bbq
[21:33:43] <BigJohnT> sounds good
