just noticed an application for "interpreter introspection"
I'm writing a subroutine that uses G95 feed/rev - it would be nice if it could save and restore the previous feed mode (and feed value)

Just this once .. here's the log: http://www.linuxcnc.org/irc/irc.freenode.net:6667/emcdevel/2008-09-07.txt
managed to edit some pages at linuxcnc.org ?
yes, how does a pdf get loaded to the web page?
the pdf get uploaded by jepler's pc that builds them
ok, I was trying to check the link on the getting started pdf using this as a guide http://www.linuxcnc.org/docs/EMC2_User_Manual.pdf
but was not sucessful
I replaced User_Manual with Getting_Started but it was not a good link
he might need to update the upload script
ok, that makes sense
I linked the html but that was just a temp thing till I figured out where the pdf was...
would you believe I'm still fighting with that wireless router :(
the url http://www.linuxcnc.org/docs/EMC2_Getting_Started.pdf
will now work
the 2.2 docs are in docs/2.2/... and I manually make symlinks to the pdf docs in the "one level up" directory
so I just now added a symlink for getting started
also for HAL_User_Manual_fr.pdf and EMC2_Integrator_Manual_fr.pdf
BigJohnT: I just skimmed over the getting started, looks good.. but I think it's lacking a picture of emc2 up and running
the html or the pdf ?
Ray and I have been working on that and have it fixed AFAIK yesterday... I'm still loading it to see
your not talking about the penguin then?
no.. a running emc2 (probably with AXIS)
that one looks like the latest one
to see what they get after everything is running
ok an AXIS screen shot :)
in the Installing EMC section...
jepler: do you have all the french manuals uploaded?
BigJohnT: should have
ok, cool I'll add that to the web page
EMC2_Developer_Manual.pdf EMC2_Getting_Started.pdf EMC2_Integrator_Manual.pdf EMC2_Integrator_Manual_fr.pdf EMC2_Manual_Pages.pdf EMC2_User_Manual.pdf EMC2_User_Manual_fr.pdf HAL_User_Manual.pdf HAL_User_Manual_fr.pdf
alex_joni: you can put my real name in the Developer list on sourceforge if you want :)
or is that automagicly done?
that's done automagically
it depends how you set your name in the SF account you have
ok I'll change it LOL
btw alex_joni the reisfleisch was real good
heh, ok then :D
I had some bbq ribs yesterday
probably the first one with "traditional US rib sauce"
wet or dry ribs
around here if you need sauce on your ribs you need a new cook LOL
well.. we don't usually cook them like this
I use a dry rub only on my ribs
wrapped in tin foil and cooked for 2 hours over low indirect heat
just depends on what part of the US your in if they prefer wet or dry ribs
<- over the pond
how do you normally get ribs?
depends.. but usually they are smoked
and most of the time they don't end up on the bbq
