is that supposed to be this weekend now?
maybe.. I pushed rtai 3.6.1 a couple days ago
and didn't get any bad reports yet..
yep - I noticed that
I may be able to do some testing this weekend, but I don't really know the state of my 3 or 4 possible testbeds
I know one of them is funky, one of them is my wife's PC (wo it may be off limits ;) ), one is my laptop (which has no parport, so it would be hard to measure physical things), and the other is my server
hmm. in vel mode, stepgen should act like an analog output (similar to pwmgen)
(I mention this because it bugs me that Geert used a scale block to get an offset for his spindle :) )
I must have used pwmgen for mine. it's been a long time ago.
that wouldn't work for these though, because their VFDs are looking for a frequency
a scale block may make sense, but stepgen in velocity mode is more or less an analog output
oh but like pwmgen you want a scale and offset built in?
I see now
I'm not sure if the normal stepgen "scale" is all that's needed - it probably is
but offset isn't there, and I'm not sure exactly where it should go
hey all. ya know when classicladder gui crashes, it locks up hoses realtime. shutting down emc2 says it 'clean(s) up', but an rtai.ko stays running.
error: insmod: error inserting '/usr/realtime-2.6.24-16-rtai/modules/rtai_hal.ko': -1 File exists
is there a way to kill this, or is it boot time?
guess it's boot time. be back in a boot minute.
