huh another sim-only weirdness .. somehow, the realtime environment is being cleared when I 'loadusr -w sh latexit.sh', which itself calls 'halcmd gets' ..
but not on true RT systems
crap, I bet a dollar that this is due to the probe_parport change in 2.2.1.
(doesn't disable the PNP interfaces it enables)

tissf: when run on a machine which writes version 276 or above, the answer should be "yes". When run on a machine which has an older version, the answer is probably "no"
Lyx v1.3.7 that comes with dapper bug with copy / paste
I installed the v1.5.2-1, latest stable but it generates files v: 276 : (
that version should come with its own lyx2lyx scripts .. check whether it installed them in a different location (e.g., in /usr/local)

it simulates a 5 axis bridge mill hooked to emc2
i have to estimate the cost of design and fab for a 4 th and 5th axis head to attach to a gantry mill/router.
just about like your model shows.
the model in that picture is connected to emc2 for testing to help visualize
how the heck do you pull that off?

I just made the model, we've had the machine visualization stuff for a while
there are already scara and puma configurations in emc2.2
how is the visuallization run?

I think the head is very nice, but it got worse and worse after that
and the table floating in space is a nice touch
I wonder.. how hard would it be for vispy to include some STLs for visualisation
define rotation / translation point.. and that's it
