[03:19:55] <jepler> cradek: what's involved in putting another package in our repository?
[03:20:34] <jepler> cradek: tools like valgrind don't know about the threading library I used in sim. I added some stuff to that library (libpth2) to make valgrind work better.
[03:20:50] <cradek> I regenerate the indexes, sign it, and then rsync
[03:21:46] <jepler> the pool of people who want to run valgrind on rtapi_app is probably small
[03:21:52] <jepler> .. or one
[03:21:55] <cradek> ~ 1
[03:22:26] <cradek> I guess I did it once...
[03:25:31] <cradek> I'm not sure how you would make it prefer your version to the one in universe
[03:25:37] <cradek> I guess you would have to make it 'newer'
[03:25:40] <jepler> yeah
[03:27:35] <cradek> I can sure do it if you want
[03:29:32] <jepler> nah it's probably not worth the trouble
[10:07:29] <Welcome> It just ticked over into the new year in Kiritimati (Christmas Island) about 5 minutes ago, so to everyone there Happy New Year! If you want, please stop by our celebration channel #freenode-newyears :D
[12:06:33] <alex_joni> logger_dev: bookmark
[12:06:31] <alex_joni> Just this once .. here's the log: http://www.linuxcnc.org/irc/irc.freenode.net:6667/emcdevel/2006-12-31.txt
[18:56:34] <cradek> jepler: did you backport the typo fix?
[19:12:40] <jepler> cradek: oops, no
[19:23:21] <jepler> done
[20:52:35] <cradek> jepler: don't you also have to backport the po changes, so as not to break the translations?
[21:00:49] <jepler> no -- there was another place where the message was spelled correctly. When I manually corrected the typo in the .po files, that's what caused the compile failure, because there were now two translations of the same message.
[21:03:28] <cradek> oh ok, thanks
