[01:20:46] <PetefromTn_> We also managed to get all the proximity switches for the toolchanger hooked up and got the toolchanger motor working fwd and revers all integrated into the control.
[01:20:59] <R2E4_> Had to empty it, and have to weld it to fix the leaks....lol
[01:21:09] <PetefromTn_> LOL I had to do the same damn thing...
[01:21:53] <R2E4_> When I got the machine, they left the coolant tank full of coolant, for 2 years.
[01:22:10] <R2E4_> shut the machine off and didnt touch it for two years.
[01:22:24] <PetefromTn_> I actually wound up wire wheeling the troughs up and then tig welded the holes I could see and I then coated the entire inside of both of them with west system epoxy.

[03:18:11] <PetefromTn_> not sure the best way to go about it we are considering using either a custom made board with like an and circuit or try to do it in the software so that the spindle 12k RPM motor and 6k RPM spindle max speeds work with the encoder on the spindle motor.
[03:19:35] <PetefromTn_> I am sure there are other ways to do it as well but trying to determine the best way to deal with the high speed of the motor.
[03:21:41] <pcw_home> The high speed should not be in issue (the spindle index need only work at relatively low speeds)

[23:27:36] <PetefromTn_> I don't think so the cutter snapped and the only reason it was not uneventful was because the cutter body kinda tweaked into the collet and ground against the ER32 collet until it stopped. I was able to put the holder into the lathe with the broken stub in there and used my high speed pencil grinder to clean up the face of the collet so I can use it more. Checked the runout with a new tool in there and it was like .0002

[23:28:26] <PetefromTn_> My drive does have this feature but we just switched to Modbus control and I am not sure if that changed anything. I will have to look into the manual to see how to change it to dynamic brake stop.
