[00:27:00] <tbl> how's it going robin?
[00:57:33] <robin_sz> hey tbl,
[00:57:36] <robin_sz> its going OK
[00:57:43] <robin_sz> well, for some vlaues of OK ;)
[02:42:36] <jepler> g-code "optimizer": http://axis.unpythonic.net/index.cgi/downloads/01103508580
[02:52:08] <jepler> cradek: did you see Paul Fox's message "tkemc (on emc2) bugs/nits"?
[03:14:27] <jepler> well, I replied to it, anyway
[03:14:52] <jepler> did I miss anything interesting in the last two developer meetings?
[03:24:26] <paul_c> A little..
[03:25:19] <jepler> I'm just pleased to be at home, trying to dig out of my mounds of e-mail, most of it mailing lists...
[03:42:44] <jmkasunich> time for me to go
[04:27:46] <cradek> jepler: not sure...
[04:29:14] <cradek> jepler: ok, yes I did see it
[04:31:23] <cradek> jepler: in fact I marked it with an ! intending to go read it more carefully later.
[12:21:52] <alex_joni> * alex_joni waves
[12:33:27] <paul_c> * paul_c plays with chanserv.
[12:36:21] <alex_joni> what's +v?
[12:37:09] <paul_c> voice
[12:46:55] <paul_c> alex_joni: A url for you...
[12:47:04] <paul_c> http://www.isd.mel.nist.gov/projects/rcslib/NMLcpp.html
[12:53:20] <alex_joni> geee.. thanks
[12:56:39] <alex_joni> I prefer the Ada version :D
[12:57:00] <alex_joni> http://www.isd.mel.nist.gov/projects/rcslib/NML_Ada.html
[12:57:35] <jepler> morning
[12:59:15] <alex_joni> hello jepler
[12:59:45] <alex_joni> paul_c: I downloaded some docs, I plan to read those in the next few weeks
[13:05:52] <alex_joni> I'll try to comprehend the big picture
[13:06:03] <alex_joni> then we can discuss what could be done
[14:07:01] <alex_joni> * alex_joni is playing with doxygen
[14:13:44] <alex_joni> http://193.226.12.129/emcstuff/doxygen/
[14:55:58] <les> test
[14:56:02] <les> hmm
[14:56:24] <cradek> ?
[14:56:47] <les> oh internet and email is down for me...but this works
[14:57:48] <les> must be problems from high winds/cold
[16:25:09] <alex_joni> updated http://193.226.12.129/emcstuff/doxygen/
[16:27:01] <paul_c> wth is emcmot_config_t ???
[16:27:39] <alex_joni> you ask me?
[16:27:41] <alex_joni> :-)
[16:28:02] <alex_joni> it's a struct
[16:28:12] <alex_joni> defined in motion.h
[16:28:48] <alex_joni> line 624
[16:28:56] <paul_c> I think you need to fine tune your doxy-config
[16:29:28] <alex_joni> yeah... I saw it outputs structs as classes
[16:29:36] <paul_c> It's pulling in stuff from the rtapi & hal tree
[16:29:48] <alex_joni> bear in mind this is my first experience with doxygen
[16:30:07] <alex_joni> should it only leave it up to libnml ?
[16:30:14] <alex_joni> no other dirs?
[16:30:26] <paul_c> Are you using the config from CVS ?
[16:30:44] <alex_joni> nope
[16:30:49] <alex_joni> I used a Wizard :D
[16:31:44] <alex_joni> * alex_joni is trying the doxconfig from CVS
[16:31:50] <paul_c> Doxygen is a usefull tool, but it doesn't always produce sane docs
[16:33:08] <alex_joni> * alex_joni agrees
[16:34:15] <paul_c> Are you using a branch, or head ?
[16:35:11] <alex_joni> an older head
[16:35:38] <alex_joni> I was just curious if the output from doxygen is somehow usefull...
[16:35:43] <alex_joni> and it does seem like that
[16:36:21] <paul_c> there should be some tags for a few of the functions that add comments to doxygen's output
[16:37:43] <alex_joni> * alex_joni wonders if paul_c could point him to some existing tags?
[16:39:38] <paul_c> Nope - I need to go back through the revisions & branches to find them.
[16:39:49] <tbl> how is it possible that SMC website is "down"
[16:39:51] <tbl> so lame!
[16:40:06] <alex_joni> oopsy ;-)
[16:40:30] <alex_joni> paul_c: never mind, if I ever meet some, I think I'll recognize them
[16:40:34] <tbl> id figure as large of a company as that would have some sort of redundant failovers or something.
[16:40:43] <alex_joni> at least a few
[16:41:26] <tbl> a networking company no less!
[16:42:12] <alex_joni> try www.smc-europe.com
[16:42:28] <alex_joni> but there are some products missing over here
[16:42:38] <paul_c> Try http://www.smc.org.uk/
[16:42:45] <tbl> yeah
[16:42:54] <tbl> ill check to see if this product is in the uk
[16:43:15] <tbl> hey paul
[16:43:18] <tbl> i got a new laptop
[16:43:19] <alex_joni> lol... The scottish mounteneering club
[16:43:27] <tbl> powerbook g4, 12"
[16:43:32] <tbl> i love it, osx > *
[16:43:40] <alex_joni> The scottish mountaineering club = SMC
[16:45:21] <tbl> alex_joni, yeah i saw that heh
[16:45:39] <alex_joni> the only one I found is the europe one, but only the german one works
[16:45:56] <alex_joni> http://www.smc-europe.com/de/
[16:48:56] <tbl> i wonder if the german firmware is the same as the us ones
[16:54:55] <tbl> okay so that didn't work!
[16:55:01] <tbl> can't update english version with the german firmware
[17:10:38] <paul_c> alex_joni: emc2: lathe_fork - Check rs274ngc/interp_arc.cc for examples of Doxygen tags
[19:16:28] <babu> hi all
[19:17:58] <paul_c> Evening babu
[19:21:03] <babu> compiled emc2-cvs (yesterday), rtai (vesuvio) and kernel (2.4.27) new, now i get RTAPI: ERROR: version mismatch
[19:22:00] <paul_c> what does dmesg show ?
[19:31:01] <babu> dmesg output is on http://www.pastebin.com/131604
[19:31:25] <babu> looks good to me
[19:39:07] <paul_c> One of two things spring to mind... Did you do a mrproper when building the kernel...
[19:39:32] <paul_c> and/or clean & configure in the emc2 tree
[19:48:14] <babu> i did no mrproper in the kerneldir, i just did a make-kpkg binary
[19:48:58] <babu> i downloaded the emc2 in a new dir so i didn't have to cleanup. the ./configure did run without any problems
[19:49:53] <paul_c> And RTAI ?
[19:51:41] <babu> hmm i think it will be best to rebuild all
[19:52:13] <paul_c> wanna try some new debs ?
[19:52:31] <babu> why not!
[19:53:47] <paul_c> gimme a sec to generate a Package list for the repo.
[20:00:00] <paul_c> deb http://81.100.211.99/debs ./
[20:06:10] <babu> got a "Unknown host morphix"
[20:09:55] <paul_c> Hmmm... Check your apt/sources.list
[20:12:49] <mjoyce_> your hostname is morphix
[20:12:51] <mjoyce_> mjoyce_ is now known as tbl
[20:12:56] <tbl> add morphix to your /etc/hosts
[20:13:01] <babu> hmm ok it works
[20:14:15] <babu> i don't need emc1 i am just using emc2 so i cant give you feedback for your emc and python2.3-axis package. should i install it and check it if works (unconfigured)?
[20:15:10] <paul_c> The emc package requires the 2.6.9 kernel...
[20:15:25] <babu> hmm i just use 2.4.27 on that machine
[20:16:55] <paul_c> Feel free to use the 2.4 stuff...
[20:19:43] <babu> ok removing your server from sources.list, thx anyway
[20:23:29] <babu> * babu has found the error: Please unset CONFIG_MODVERSIONS
[20:24:00] <paul_c> And disable APM
[20:24:33] <babu> * babu hates it to reconfigure and reconfigure same things again because he lost his GOOD_WORKING_CONFIG.CFG!!
[22:09:33] <babu> cu
