[13:00:40] <alex_joni> micges_work: hi
[13:00:52] <micges_work> hi
[13:01:01] <alex_joni> seen what I did yesterday?
[13:01:18] <micges_work> barely, I was tired after machine install
[13:01:21] <alex_joni> http://juve.ro/~juve/robcon/r76-take1.PNG
[13:01:29] <alex_joni> http://juve.ro/~juve/robcon/r76-zoom.PNG
[13:02:21] <micges_work> oh that is genserkins robot, right?
[13:14:52] <alex_joni> right
[13:15:10] <alex_joni> for this robot(s): http://juve.ro/~juve/robcon/DSCN3407.JPG
[13:16:37] <micges_work> niiice
[13:16:51] <micges_work> did you tested this on ja3?
[13:16:59] <alex_joni> not yet
[13:17:03] <alex_joni> but I plan to these days
[13:17:40] <micges_work> cool
[14:34:24] <A3-JT-Work> A3-JT-Work is now known as JT-Work
[16:49:57] <cradek> heh, good thing I finally got threading to work right: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.distributions.emc.user/18996
[16:50:01] <cradek> :-)
[16:50:49] <skunkworks_> cool huh?
[16:51:26] <cradek> yep, and also I have a bunch of holes to tap tonight! that's so fun.
[16:51:57] <cradek> I got a 7mm ER40 collet to hold the 1/4-20 taps I seem to use so often
[16:54:01] <skunkworks_> Videos!
[16:55:05] <skunkworks_> (no pressure)
[16:55:56] <cradek> yeah I really should... wish I had a tripod that can hold my phone
[16:56:29] <skunkworks_> velcro ;)
[16:57:28] <jepler> cradek: ingrid's getting some kind of video camera and nice tripod for her work, maybe you can borrow it.
[16:58:01] <cradek> cool
[17:20:09] <jepler> hm, it looks like it is possible to change the hostmot2 driver so that the watchdog isn't armed at module load time, but instead is armed the first time the watchdog "pet" function executes..
[17:20:25] <jepler> this would help people who interactively load hostmot2 at the halcmd prompt
[17:20:43] <jepler> since many seconds might elapse from loading the module to starting the thread with the function added
[17:20:55] <jepler> (that's how the pluto watchdogs work, incidentally)
[17:31:52] <jepler> this would also help with systems that just occasionally take a long time executing the hal files for whatever reason
[17:32:08] <jepler> -- I bet that's what happened on jr, but have no way to prove it..
[17:35:56] <cradek> hm I forgot about that - nobody said anything in response to that email.
[17:36:24] <cradek> I really should hardwire it, either way.
[17:37:18] <micges> cradek: they don't know what to say, very advanced topic
[17:37:56] <jepler> I don't like the idea, because it doesn't solve the problem for everyone. For instance, it doesn't solve the problem for someone who has 1 mesa + 1 dumb parport
[17:42:11] <cradek> yeah this is just a hm2-specific driver thing. I expected seb and pcw to be the only ones who would have much input (and maybe want to do something about it)
[20:43:54] <CIA-4> EMC: 03jepler 07v2.4_branch * r7a573b887820 10/src/configure.in: Fix 'checking for ANSI C header files... no' with --enable-simulator
[20:44:00] <jepler> apparently nothing in emc actually cares if the headers are ANSI..
[20:44:04] <jepler> * jepler shrugs
[22:12:42] <alex_joni> alex_joni is now known as Agent_Smith
[22:13:12] <Agent_Smith> Agent_Smith is now known as Guest51207
[22:13:14] <Guest51207> Guest51207 is now known as alex_joni
[22:44:24] <alex_joni> I wonder why xenomai uses different git's for what seems to be branches: http://git.xenomai.org/
[22:46:20] <jepler> git people frequently have one .git per developer, which I think reduces toe-stepping
[22:47:10] <jepler> splitting up by versions I understand less well.
