[02:54:57] <jepler> jmkasunich: the trick shown here -- using a ~/.local file -- let me customize the screensaver without being root. beats me hwere this is documented, though
[02:55:02] <jepler> stupid gnome
[03:14:18] <jepler> jmkasunich: apparently the "documentation" for this is http://standards.freedesktop.org/basedir-spec/basedir-spec-0.6.html -- not that it says what programs will understand this and what won't. maybe most gnmome programs do.
[03:38:02] <Guest271> Guest271 is now known as skunkworks_
[04:06:41] <jepler> It is interesting to ask how far an instruction set can be reduced. It has been known for some time that a single instruction suffices, memory-to-memory subtract and branch if result negative. This is a complex instruction with 3 address fields (reducable to two if an accumulator is used), and the conditional branch phase of each instruction cycle depends on the results of the subtract phase of that instruction, inhibiting pipelined execution. Thus, alth

[04:09:50] <jepler> (the article is interesting for more than that extract)
[04:32:53] <jepler> chris notes some bugs in axis: block delete isn't shown in preview. he gets a spurious limits warning, and it's repeated each time he steps.
[05:24:05] <cradek> jepler: also the rigid tap preview's X is not offset properly
[20:42:38] <CIA-34> EMC: 03cradek 07TRUNK * 10emc2/lib/python/rs274/glcanon.py: fix rigid tap preview
[20:43:25] <CIA-34> EMC: 03cradek 07TRUNK * 10emc2/src/emc/usr_intf/axis/Submakefile: also install max5gui
[20:48:21] <alex_joni> cradek: don't forget debian/ files if needed
[21:14:35] <CIA-34> EMC: 03jmkasunich 07TRUNK * 10emc2/nc_files/mmount.ngc: added cnc workshop motor mount g-code
[23:07:29] <BigJohnT> cradek: do you have a minute to talk about cvs developer checkout?
[23:08:24] <BigJohnT> bbim
[23:18:42] <BigJohnT> cradek: I'll try and catch you later, wife is home from work time for quality time...
