[15:02:40] <alex_joni> jepler: around?
[15:15:41] <alex_joni> jepler: does the emc2 git repo still work?
[15:16:14] <seb_kuzminsky> there's a git repo? sweet...
[15:16:28] <alex_joni> seb_kuzminsky: don't run away too enthusiastic about it :P
[15:17:11] <seb_kuzminsky> heh... i've slurped the emc cvs into a private bzr repo and i'm working in that and syncing to cvs when appropriate
[15:35:59] <jepler> alex_joni: it's not regularly updated.
[15:36:14] <jepler> alex_joni: so in that sense, no, it doesn't work
[15:36:29] <jepler> when I was updating it, I sometimes found differences between the cvs and git repos that I couldn't understand
[15:36:44] <alex_joni> jepler: I merely asked if the git address should work
[15:36:49] <alex_joni> (not that the content is sane..)
[15:36:49] <jepler> alex_joni: yes, I think so
[15:37:01] <jepler> did you try it?
[15:37:10] <alex_joni> got the addy handy?
[15:37:24] <alex_joni> I tried to add it to a stat thingie.. but it didn't want to accept it
[15:38:08] <jepler> I don't think you should add it to any public statistics thing
[15:38:43] <jepler> looks like the emc2.git repository is broken anyhow
[15:39:45] <alex_joni> ok, then I won't
[15:41:24] <jepler> er, I guess I had the wrong path to start with and it is "working". the git url is git://git.unpy.net/emc2.git -- but I still don't want it to be publicized
[15:41:46] <jepler> it was last updated on 2008-10-29
[15:43:13] <alex_joni> oh, can we look inside?
[15:43:20] <alex_joni> then we'll know what happens this year
[15:43:37] <jepler> 2007, I meant :-P
[15:43:49] <alex_joni> awww, that's no fun :D
[15:50:29] <jepler> just for fun I updated that repo
[16:36:44] <CIA-21> EMC: 03seb 07TRUNK * 10emc2/src/hal/drivers/mesa7i43-firmware/source/ (7 files): This is where the gpio firmware sources belong.
[16:37:26] <seb_kuzminsky> ok wtf
[16:37:44] <seb_kuzminsky> i'm having cvs trouble
[16:38:30] <seb_kuzminsky> in fs speak, I'm trying to move src/hal/drivers/mesa7i43-firmware/source to src/hal/drivers/mesa7i43-firmware/gpio/source
[16:39:06] <seb_kuzminsky> but cvs doesnt have mv, so i "cvs rm"-ed the old stuff and "cvs add"-ed the new stuff
[16:39:20] <seb_kuzminsky> but it's not moving it
[16:39:26] <seb_kuzminsky> i feel like i'm on crazy pills
[16:45:05] <seb_kuzminsky> oh i see...
[16:52:31] <CIA-21> EMC: 03seb 07TRUNK * 10emc2/src/hal/drivers/mesa7i43-firmware/gpio/source/ (7 files): Put gpio firmware files in their proper place. Sorry about the confusion.
[16:52:43] <seb_kuzminsky> i'm a retard
[16:59:29] <seb_kuzminsky> a retard who hates CVS
[17:36:47] <alex_joni> ha
[17:40:40] <cradek> about your message: yes, be careful to put files in the right place and then not move them
[17:43:23] <cradek> but in this case no important history was lost, so I don't see any problem
[17:46:36] <cradek> cvs update: src/hal/drivers/mesa7i43-firmware/source/main.vhd is no longer in the repository
[17:46:49] <cradek> cvs handles this fine, no need for an admin to do anything
[17:47:26] <cradek> everyone uses -d -P with cvs update so they won't even see the now-empty directory
