[01:59:16] <jepler> skunkworks: neat photo
[02:00:44] <jepler> skunkworks: did you go a little bit deep on the trace isolation passes, or is the substrate clearer than most?
[02:16:34] <Guest344> Guest344 is now known as skunkworks
[02:17:01] <skunkworks> jepler: the board is thin..
[02:22:47] <skunkworks> jmkasunich: what do you think? http://www.electronicsam.com/images/KandT/servostart/mounting.JPG
[02:23:30] <skunkworks> The componants will be on top - also the cap. (supported with a bracket back to the heatsink)
[02:40:08] <skunkworks> biab
[03:17:35] <skunkworks> join ubuntu
[03:27:23] <tomp> thanks for the work guys
[03:29:04] <skunkworks> we just fired a guy at work for acting like he knew it all.
[03:38:46] <skunkworks> jmkasunich: did you see my pictures?
[03:40:07] <jmkasunich> your board?
[03:40:18] <skunkworks> yes - and the heatsink
[03:40:55] <skunkworks> http://www.electronicsam.com/images/KandT/servostart/mounting.JPG
[03:40:57] <skunkworks> mainly
[03:41:05] <jmkasunich> saw the board, loading the mount one now
[03:41:34] <jmkasunich> nice
[03:53:50] <cradek> neato
[03:53:59] <skunkworks> think that will work? :)
[04:15:15] <skunkworks> night guys - don't work too hard :)
[08:06:20] <alex_joni> whoa, someone really needs to get to bed
[11:24:42] <alex_joni> da
[12:41:56] <cradek_> cradek_ is now known as cradaek
[12:42:06] <cradaek> cradaek is now known as cradek
[12:42:25] <skunkworks> cradaek?
[12:42:58] <cradek> early
[12:42:58] <cradek> earlaptop
[12:43:08] <cradek> argh
[12:44:59] <skunkworks> need more sleep? ;)
[12:46:16] <skunkworks> I found some great ic sockets here at work. They have about a .05 colar so they stand off the board by that amount.. enought to solder the top side with ease.
[12:46:26] <skunkworks> enough
[12:46:30] <cradek> the key lag is about 10 seconds on the hotel's wireless, and I'm on a laptop with a crap keyboard...
[12:46:42] <skunkworks> eww.
[12:46:52] <skunkworks> which hotel - if I may ask
[12:46:55] <cradek> the ones with the machined pins are nice to use
[12:47:12] <cradek> "america's best value inn"
[12:48:28] <skunkworks> ok - good - we are staying at econo inn
[12:48:34] <skunkworks> :)
[12:49:23] <cradek> we thought this would be the "nice" hotel
[12:49:30] <skunkworks> I just need to find something similar from digikey.
[12:49:33] <cradek> actually it's fine, except for the crap wireless
[12:49:38] <skunkworks> Thats good
[12:49:49] <skunkworks> is it where you stayed last year?
[12:49:50] <cradek> I have bought those kinds of sockets from mouser
[12:49:55] <skunkworks> or mouser
[12:49:56] <cradek> nope, it's a different place
[12:50:05] <skunkworks> where did you stay last year?
[12:50:42] <cradek> I'm not sure of the name
[12:51:14] <cradek> maybe it was econo inn
[12:51:25] <skunkworks> what did you think of it?
[12:53:27] <cradek> yes that looks like it (found a photo)
[12:53:33] <cradek> the wireless was better
[12:53:41] <cradek> oh is there something else to consider? :-)
[12:54:05] <cradek> it was very basic, like this place (I'm not picky)
[12:55:13] <cradek> wow, jmk finished the tool changer last night (he got it to put its tools away in the right slots)
[12:55:47] <cradek> at least that's what the commit message says
[13:07:53] <alex_joni> hi guys
[13:10:57] <cradek> hi alex
[13:11:58] <skunkworks> Nice
[13:12:10] <cradek> I should be getting ready - brb
[13:13:34] <skunkworks> alex_joni: I have an email out to my cousin in france.
[13:15:03] <alex_joni> skunkworks: cool, thanks
[13:16:35] <skunkworks> alex_joni: did you see this? http://www.electronicsam.com/images/KandT/servostart/mounting.JPG
[13:22:52] <alex_joni> yes I did
[13:23:09] <alex_joni> it's nice, but there are some leftovers you need to clear from the board
[13:24:16] <skunkworks> leftovers?
[13:26:57] <alex_joni> yeah, unconnected pads
[13:27:03] <alex_joni> left over from the cutting
[13:30:11] <skunkworks> Do I really have to? Do you think they will cause problems?
[13:33:02] <alex_joni> skunkworks: I'm only concearned that you have lots of switchings around
[13:33:14] <alex_joni> which will generate some EM fields, which will charge those pads
[13:33:33] <alex_joni> it might or might not be a problem..
[13:40:58] <alex_joni> omg, my typing really sux today
[13:52:03] <skunkworks> :)
[13:56:50] <skunkworks> The next board then will have 3 to 4 passes of clearing.
[13:57:18] <cradek> jepler: jmk hasn't called me yet - he may have slept in
[21:39:22] <LawrenceG> HELLO...Who is still at the cnc fest??? see one lonely person at the cradeck/jepler/jmk table???
[21:53:06] <LawrenceG> halcmd setp fest.mazak.spindle ON
[22:35:18] <alex_joni> halcmd: error, no such pin named 'fest.mazak.spindle'
